Resource / Visitor Info Centres & Libraries
Our Community Resource/Visitor Information Centres & Libraries offer a variety of services including Tourist Information, Centrelink, Conference Room Hire, Public Internet Access, Library services and a variety of business services including photocopying, faxing and laminating.
The Avoca Information and Community Centre is located at 122 High Street, Avoca. The Beaufort Community Resource Centre is located at 72 Neill Street, Beaufort.
Avoca Information and Community Centre is open 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Beaufort Community Resource Centre is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Borrow books, audio books and DVDs or sit down and read magazines and newspapers at either centre. Pyrenees Shire libraries are part of the Central Highlands Libraries group. Search for titles on the Pyrenees Libraries Website.
Beaufort Community Resource Centre offers a free wi-fi connection for mobile devices and laptops. Search for Free Wi-Fi while in the vicinty of the centres. Landsborough Resource Centre and Lexton Rural Transaction Centre also have free Wi-Fi. Users need to accept the acceptable use policy before browsing.

The Pyrenees Shire Council has a Mobile Library Service for the following rural townships and surrounding communities:

For online ordering please go to Pyrenees Libraries. You can put your books on hold and select your pick up location, e.g. Snake Valley, Lexton or Landsborough, and they will be delivered to that location.
