Ararat Wind Farm Grants

Congratulations to four community groups who were successful in their grant applications to the Ararat Wind Farm Sustainable Grants Program 2017.

29 applications were received from across the Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians and Pyrenees Shire for a total grant allocation of $65,000.

Pyrenees Shire community groups to receive funding were:

  1. Amphitheatre Recreation Reserve Committee of Management - $4,950 for a barbecue at the Recreation Reserve;
  2. Lexton Public Hall Inc - $4,980 for the refurbishment of the toilets at the Lexton Hall;
  3. Avoca Friends of the Pool - $2,700 for seating at the Avoca Pool;
  4. Landsborough and District Historical Group Inc - $1,740 for further upgrades to the external walls of the Old Barkly School that is their home.
