| Municipal Public Health & Wellbeing Plan Review | | Council has prepared a Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. This plan is now on public display for community comment.
The Plan sets out how Pyrenees Shire intends to protect, improve and promote public health and wellbeing within the municipal district as required under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.
A copy of the draft plan can be viewed at the Avoca and Beaufort Community Resource Centres, Beaufort Shire Office, Lexton Community Centre and Landsborough Community Centre. Residents may also request a copy of the plan directly from the shire office, please call the shire office on 53491100.
Any person may make a written submission to Council in relation to the Plan. Submissions must be received by Council before 5 pm on Friday 13th November 2009.
Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Act, and any person who has made a submission is entitled to appear in support of their submission at the Council meeting on 17th November, 2009. Submissions are to be addressed to Chief Executive Officer, Pyrenees Shire, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort 3373.
