The Pyrenees boasts a vibrant calendar of events each year. The Seduction by Tastebuds series captures the premium wines of the regions, matched with high profile Victorian chefs. The Pyrenees Grapegrowers and Winemakers also host the Pyrenees Escapade in October, this event showcase all the wineries in a stunning location at the foothills of the Pyrenees Ranges and gives guests the opportunity to taste delightful wine and cuisine produced from our region. Many other wine events are held throughout the year. Each ANZAC Day and Caulfield Cup Day, the Avoca Turf Club hosts a race meet that's not to be missed, they sure know how to live up to the fun and excitement of Country Racing !
If it's an event for the family your after, the Moonambel Fireworks Party in the Pyrenees, held in November ensures a fun day of kid's activities, local wine and produce and a finale of fireworks to impress. Lake Goldsmith hosts their Steam rally twice a year in May and October for steam engine enthusiasts. Many other smaller towns showcase their towns with events throughout the year, from Snake Valley and their Rally in the Valley to the Landsborough Summer Festival there is sure to be an event to cater for your interests.
Food and wine events are one of the regions strongest points, amongst sports and recreation, agriculture, markets, art and crafts and national events.
