Plant Operator (Truck Driver) Beaufort Depot

(Salary between $56,295.72 - $60,457.28 incl. allowances)

The Pyrenees Shire Council is currently seeking the services of a motivated and energetic individual with an appropriate aptitude for outdoor work in a team environment

As part of a team located at the Council’s Beaufort Depot, the individual’s activity will include but is not restricted to Plant Operation and will include daily activities and operational programs relative to routine road maintenance, traffic management installations, bridge maintenance, roadside management, footpath maintenance, street furniture maintenance, drainage maintenance and other works as required.  Adherence to Council’s policies and procedures relative to general field and asset maintenance activity is essential.

The following attributes will be highly regarded and desirable:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Staff obligations under OHS regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate Medium to Heavy range trucks.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a Front End Loader and
  • Demonstrated experience in machinery maintenance.

Reporting to the area Works Officer, the individual will be responsible for (but not restricted to) the safe operation and maintenance of plant, tools and equipment used in a range of activities relevant to various Council functions.
