Draft General Local Law

Pyrenees Shire Council, at its meeting on 13 November 2018, resolved to seek submissions on the Draft General Local Law in accordance with sections 119 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.  Public comment and community submissions are now invited regarding the provisions of the draft Local Law.

The period of exhibition of the draft Local Law gives opportunity for the community to provide feedback and suggestions for any other changes to be considered.  

The proposed Local Law is to replace the existing Local Law No. 2 Environment and Local Law No. 3 Streets and Roads.

How do I make a Submission? 

The submission period is open until 5pm on Friday 4th January 2019.

Anyone may make a written submission on the proposed Local Law under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.  Anyone who makes a written submission to Council may also request (in their submission) to be heard in person before a meeting of a Committee of Council appointed for this purpose.
