In response to the changing climate and increased use of the Goldfields Recreation Reserve and Beaufort Lake Precinct, Council is excited to work with the community on a Masterplan to guide future developments and opportunities at this beautiful location.

We are holding an engagement session at Goldfield Recreation Reserve Clubrooms between 12pm - 8pm on 13 February 2020.

Council has been invited to apply for funding to help improve drought resilience in our communities under the Federal Government's Drought Communities Programme.

As part of Council's proposed projects, Stage 1 of the Masterplan will support improvements to the foreshore area. Approved works must be completed by the end of this year, so we want to know what is important to you. Please come along for a cup of tea and share your ideas and help us understand what the foreshore area might look like.

We have also created an online survey for you to give ideas for both the foreshore and Beaufort Lake as a whole. The survey will be live until 28 February 2020.

Stage 2 will see the preparation of a long-term Masterplan to guide future development of the Lake Precinct.  We’ll set out more details on this in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out on our website, social media and in the local press.

We’re keen for everyone with an interest in the development of the Lake to get involved. If you would like more information, please call Ed Riley (Strategic Planner) on 5349 1144 or email ed.riley@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.
