Council expects to start delivering the remainder of the much-delayed 120L glass bins next week 27/9.

We apologise again for the wait, it’s been due to manufacturing delays at the bin factory. We’ve now placed a new order with a new supplier and expect them to be delivered this week.

If you have an existing landfill bin with a burgundy or green lid, these will continue to be replaced over the coming months with a red lid, please be patient while the contractor gets to you.

If you’ve had issues with the collection of your bin, please contact Council on 1300 797 363 and lodge a waste task.

New waste and recycling calendars have been printed and posted out to residents, but you can also download them on this webpage or check your next collection date via this page.

Contractors will begin delivering the remainder of the glass bins south of the Western Highway in the Streatham/Skipton vicinity and then move east towards Snake Valley.

These bins will be placed near to property gates or on the verge of roads near entrances.

A three month rebate for the year’s waste and recycling services charges has been put in place because of the unexpected delay. New services will be receiving $75 off the service charge and existing users expecting a glass bin will receive a $15 rebate on the 2021/22 charge. This information will be included in your upcoming 2021/22 Rates and Charges Notice.

Residents can contact Council on 1300 797 363 for any questions in relation to the new waste and recycling services.
