Pyrenees Shire Council has taken the necessary steps to realise the ten year vision for Correa Park.

Council set out to build a 100-lot subdivision in Beaufort to boost housing stock and grow the town in 2010.

The awarding of the contract for the Civil Works for the next stage will take the number of lots to 100.

Mayor Tanya Kehoe said the contract was awarded to Pipecon to build streets, drainage, kerb and channel and connect services for 39 lots.

“The Civil Works Contract is an exciting step in the development of Correa Park,” Cr Kehoe said.

“We’ll start to see site preparation works in the next couple of months, and the contracted works will commence in June,” she said.

“We look forward to seeing another 39 homes built in Beaufort.”

The civil works contract is in excess of $1.5million and was awarded at the April Special Council Meeting in Avoca.

The 39 lots will be release for sale once the civil works are underway.
