Beaufort Lake is undergoing weeding until Thursday, January 20. Contractor Aquatic Weed Harvester will be on the lake removing lake weed and watercraft need to avoid it where possible. It will not be working over the weekend.
Residents can collect the lake weed to use as mulch in their gardens, after it is placed on the foreshore. This is first in, first served basis and Council is not in a position to help load it.
The mulching is aimed to improve the usability of the lake for all boaters, fishers, kayakers and swimmers.
