The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) gave an exemption from the need to hold a licence to run a sewerage treatment system for the Lexton Community Hub in June.
The next steps for installing the system is getting a building permit for installation. Our building certifier requested more information which took some time to gather. This extra information has been passed on to the building certifier and we are hopeful a building permit will be issued soon.
Building of the sewerage system can begin once the building permit has been issued.
We know these delays are frustrating for our community. We are doing what we can to reduce these delays and have the building ready for our community to use.
We’re looking forward to this asset being completed and used by our community for many years to come.
