Preparation of Proposed Budget 2019/20

Pyrenees Shire Council has prepared the Proposed Budget 2019/20 including its Declaration of Rates and Charges and draft revisions of its Council Plan and Strategic Resource Plan.

INFORMATION: At a Special Meeting of Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Beaufort Council Offices, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort, commencing at 6.00 pm, on Tuesday 25th June 2019 the Pyrenees Shire Council will formally consider: 

  1. Adoption of the proposed Budget 2019/20;
  2. Declaration of Rates and Charges for the period 1st July 2019 to 30th June 2020;
  3. Adoption of a revised Council Plan 2017-2021 and Strategic Resource Plan.


DOCUMENT INSPECTION:
Copies of the Proposed Budget 2019/20 and other documents can be viewed via the links on this page or at the Avoca and Beaufort Community Resource Centres, Beaufort Shire Office, Lexton Community Centre.  Residents may also request a copy of these documents directly from the shire office by calling 5349 1100 or emailing pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

Documents will be available for public inspection from Wednesday 15th May 2019 to Friday 14th June 2019.

SUBMISSIONS: Pursuant to Sections 129 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) any person has a right to make a written submission on any proposal contained in the Proposed Budget 2019/20.   

Under Section 223 of the Act, any person also has a right to make a written submission on the revised Council Plan 2017-2021 and Strategic Resources Plan.

Submissions must be received by Council before 5 pm on Friday 14th June 2019. Submissions should be addressed to Chief Executive Officer, Pyrenees Shire, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort VIC 3373 or via email to pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Act.  Any person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person to be heard in support of the submission.  Council will meet to hear any submissions in person from 4.00 pm on Tuesday 25th June 2019, at the Council Chambers, Beaufort Council Offices, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort.
