Proposed Revised Council Plan 2017-2021

Pyrenees Shire Council has undertaken a review of its Council Plan 2017-2021 and proposes to make minor adjustments to the Council Plan.

The review was undertaken in accordance with Sections 125 and 126 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”), and Council gives notice and invites submissions on the proposed adjustments to the Council Plan 2017-2021 in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Any person making a submission is entitled to request, in the submission, that they wish to appear in person to be heard in support of the submission.  Under current COVID-19 arrangements, anyone wishing to make a personal presentation to Council will be invited to do this via virtual means (audio / visual teleconference) from 4.00pm on Tuesday 19 May 2020.  Arrangements for this will be facilitated by Council staff.

Submissions must be received by Council before 5.00pm on Wednesday 13 May 2020. Submissions should be addressed to Chief Executive Officer, Pyrenees Shire, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort VIC 3373 or via email to pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

The proposed revised Council Plan 2017-2021 is available by clicking on the link below.   Because of the COVID-19 virus and the closure of Council’s public offices, the document cannot be viewed at the normal locations.  However, residents may request a copy directly from the Council office by calling 1300 797 363 or emailing pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.    

The document is available for public inspection from Wednesday 15 April 2020 to Wednesday 13 May 2020.

Submissions will be considered at the Ordinary Council Meeting to be held Tuesday 19 May 2020 commencing at 6.00pm.
