The Pyrenees Community Safety Advisory Group has been established by local police in collaboration with other Pyrenees community stakeholders to address the local safety concerns identified through the community safety survey.

Grampians Pyrenees Primary Care Partnership provide secretariat support and the group has a large focus on youth, community and crime prevention.

The aim of the advisory group is to co-ordinate and collaborate with stakeholders and make genuine and lasting change on areas of community safety and perceptions of safety in line with Victorian public health and wellbeing outcomes framework Domain 2: Victorians are safe and secure.

The group continue to meet regularly across several towns in the Pyrenees Shire. Their last meeting was held at Lexton Community Centre.
