On behalf of Council, I would like to send our sincere condolences to His Majesty King Charles III, the Royal Family, and members of our community who are mourning Queen Elizabeth II.
Her passing is the end of an era. Her remarkable reign lasted seven decades and earned her the title of one of the longest reigning monarchs in our history.
There are many of us who have only known Queen Elizabeth II as Monarch and throughout our lives she has been a symbol of service, wisdom, and dedication.
I invite our community to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II by signing the online Condolence Book on the Governor General's website: www.gg.gov.au. If you are unable to sign the Condolence Book at home, you can visit one of the resource centres in the Shire and they can help you sign it.
