Expressions of Interest-Community Groups to hold Australia Day Event
Australia Day Events 2021-2025
$500 is donated to the hosting community group
Council is inviting Pyrenees Shire communities and service groups to submit an Expression of Interest to host the Shire’s official Australia Day celebrations. Council would like to confirm a list of communities for the next five years.
Community groups need to be able to provide a suitable venue and be able to arrange a morning / afternoon tea and/or BBQ at a time of day that suits the community with all costs of food and other requirements covered by Council.
Council organises the formal part of the celebration with the opportunity for the community to showcase their town with art, photographic / historical displays or any other activity that highlights the assets of the township and its people.
A donation of $500 is made to the community group hosting the day. The community is required to supply in-kind support.
Expressions of Interest can be submitted via the following:
- online form below;
- downloading the form; or
- collecting a form from Council’s Customer Service Centre in Beaufort, Beaufort Community Resource Centre and Library or Avoca Information and Community Centre.
Further information may be obtained by calling Jane Bowker on 1300 797 363.
