  • Project value:$300,000
  • Project schedule: Complete
  • Contractor name: PFB Building
  • Completion Date: 31 August 2021

Renovation of the old shire office in Avoca. The offices are being upgraded to create a multi-use community and business incubation space.

Internal painting and plastering are complete and floor coverings will soon be installed. Once the flooring is in, the plumbing in the new Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)-compliant toilets will be finished up.

Outside the building, the front footpath has been replaced and in the car park to the north a new DDA-compliant car park has been constructed (read more about these two projects here). There is still one footpath to be completed and the ramp into the building is awaiting installation of a safety rail.

Council will soon be seeking expressions of interest from microbusinesses and community groups who may wish to hire a space on a short to medium term basis.

In partnership with the Victorian State Government (through Regional Development Victoria), Council has invested more than $300,000 in the refurbishment of the former Avoca Shire Offices.
