With the school holidays just around the corner and warmer weather on the way, Pyrenees Shire Council is inviting local families to take part in a packed program of activities designed to keep children entertained, active and creative.
From craft sessions and hobby horse decorating to sports open days, a Vegemite-themed workshop and even lolly pizza making, there is something for children of all ages across the two-week break.
Mayor Cr Damian Ferrari said the holiday program was a great opportunity for young people to try something new, meet friends and explore the wonderful community organisations on offer throughout the shire.
"School holidays can sometimes be a challenge for families looking for activities to keep children engaged, especially when the days start getting longer and warmer," Cr Ferrari said.
"We're fortunate to have so many community groups, sporting clubs and local organisations stepping up to offer fun, affordable activities that cater to a wide range of interests.
"Whether your child enjoys arts and crafts, sport, cooking or learning something different, there's sure to be an activity they'll love."
