Our Beaufort Office and Resource Centres will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Pyrenees Shire Council is making it easier than ever to access all your waste and recycling information in one place with its new Waste and Recycling app. The app gives you access to important waste information such as bin day reminders and real-time service alerts.
From Thursday 2 April, residents can download the LoopedIn Councils app via the App Store or Google Play and select Pyrenees Shire Council to get started.
The app offers a range of helpful features, including:
The app will complement, not replace existing information channels. Residents can still access waste and recycling information via Council’s website at pyrenees.vic.gov.au, on its Facebook page, or through printed waste collection calendars.
Printed calendars remain available from the Beaufort Council Office, the Beaufort Community Resource Centre and the Avoca Information Centre.
Notification reminders are sent the day before collection.
You can choose your preferred time to be reminded to put your bins out.
When you log onto the app, the home screen will have a list of your different bins and the date they are scheduled to be collected next.
You can find the A-Z of waste on a tile at the bottom of the home page.
This lists what items to put in which bins on the app.
Tap on the burger menu button at the top left of the app.
Then choose Transfer Stations from the menu items.
On the home screen choose the Make a Request tile, this will show you the missed waste collection option and other services.
To receive news and alert notifications, turn on your bin notifications reminder.
Click on the burger menu, then settings, notifications and bin reminders in your waste app.
You can find more information about waste services at Pyrenees Shire at the Pyrenees Shire Council website, www.pyrenees.vic.gov.au/wasteandrecycling.
The only information required to use the app is your physical address.
