Interim Chief Executive Officer - Sally Jones

Sally was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer in July 2026.

Sally is a highly proficient and accomplished local government professional with CEO and extensive experience in leading and inspiring high performing, empowered teams. She is passionate about the importance of values-based leadership to drive continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture.

Sally has previously been Interim CEO at Central Goldfields Shire Council and Baw Baw Shire Council.

As Interim CEO, Sally is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Council, the delivery of the Council Plan and the implementation of Council decisions.

Director Corporate and Community Services - Jacinta Erdody

Jacinta joined Pyrenees Shire Council in May 2025.

Jacinta has worked for 22 years at Moorabool Shire Council within revenue and procurement before a 15-month stint at Edward River Council based in Deniliquin, New South Wales, as the Acting Director Corporate Services taking lead on governance, safety and risk with the portfolio also including the traditional corporate service provisions along with tourism, visitor information centre, events and grants.

Jacinta is responsible for the strategic management of the Corporate and Community Services Department, which includes finance and administration, information technology, governance, corporate compliance, risk management/OHS, emergency management, customer services and community wellbeing.

Director Assets and Development - Douglas Gowans

B.Eng

Douglas joined Pyrenees Shire Council in August 2015. He has over 17 years' experience in local government, including Golden Plains and Hindmarsh Shire Councils.

Douglas manages the operations and asset areas of Council. His responsibilities include the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, waste management and recycling, parks and gardens, town planning and building services, local laws, fire prevention and emergency management.
