Waste charges

The rates and charges for waste management for the 2020/21 year is structured on the following basis:

1. Vacant Assessments
Waste Facilities Levy $61.00


2. Waste Services - Transfer Station Access (no kerbside collection)
Waste Facilities Levy and use of Council's Transfer Stations for domestic quantities of waste  
$276.00


3. Waste Services - Kerbside Collection
Waste Facilities Levy and Kerbside & Recycling collection
$436.00

 

Unimproved Assessments (Vacant) - will attract a Waste Facilities Levy

A maximum of three 'vacant assessments' will apply to landowners with more than three vacant farming assessments. If you are part of a farming enterprise and have more than three vacant farming assessments, a maximum levy of $183.00 will apply where an exemption is claimed.                               

Improved Assessments (with no Kerbside Collection) - will attract a Waste Service - Transfer Station Access charge based on estimated operating, disposal and administrative costs.

Improved Assessments (receiving Kerbside Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste and Recycling charge (for domestic and recycling collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.

Improved Assessments – Avoca & Beaufort (receiving Kerbside Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste, Recycling & Green Waste (for domestic, recycling and greenwaste collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.
