Waste charges

Transfer Station Vouchers are no longer being issued. Residents/ratepayers can dispose of domestic quantities of waste at our transfer stations without having to provide a voucher. A Rates Notice or Driver's licence is required for verification.

Waste charges across the board went up considerably to cover increased costs related to glass collection and e-waste.

The rates and charges for waste management for the 2022/23 year is structured on the following basis:

S53 - Kerbside, Recycle & Green Waste        $498.00
S51 - Kerbside & Recycle $498.00
S50 - Improved Property $202.00
S52 - Unimproved Property $68.00

 

Unimproved Assessments (Vacant) - will attract a Waste Facilities Levy

A maximum of three 'vacant assessments' will apply to landowners with more than three vacant farming assessments. If you are part of a farming enterprise and have more than three vacant farming assessments, a maximum levy of $204.00 will apply where an exemption is claimed.                               

Improved Assessments (with no Street Collection) - will attract a Waste Service - Transfer Station Access charge based on estimated operating, disposal and administrative costs.

Improved Assessments (receiving Street Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste and Recycling charge (for domestic and recycling collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.

Improved Assessments – Avoca & Beaufort (receiving Street Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste, Recycling & Green Waste (for domestic, recycling and greenwaste collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.
