Waste charges

Transfer Station Vouchers are no longer being issued. Residents/ratepayers can dispose of domestic quantities of waste at our transfer stations without having to provide a voucher. A rates notice or driver's licence is required for verification. 

The rates and charges for waste management for the 2023/24 year is structured on the following basis:

Collection Charge Kerbside, Green & Recycling      $556.00
Collection Charge Kerbside & Recycling $556.00
Disposal Charge Improved Property $251.00
Disposal Charge Unimproved Property $100.00

 

The above fees cover drop off of household waste, green waste and recycling deposits for residents. For more details on transfer station fees and opening times see our Transfer Stations page.

 

Unimproved Assessments (Vacant) - will attract a Waste Facilities Levy

A maximum of three 'vacant assessments' will apply to landowners with more than three vacant farming assessments. If you are part of a farming enterprise and have more than three vacant farming assessments, a maximum levy of $204.00 will apply where an exemption is claimed.                               

Improved Assessments (with no Street Collection) - will attract a Waste Service - Transfer Station Access charge based on estimated operating, disposal and administrative costs.

Improved Assessments (receiving Street Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste and Recycling charge (for domestic and recycling collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.

Improved Assessments – Avoca & Beaufort (receiving Street Collection) - will attract Waste Service - Waste, Recycling & Green Waste (for domestic, recycling and greenwaste collection) based on the additional cost of providing these services.
