Pyrenees Shire Council is committed to the delivery of customer focused, equitable and responsive waste management services to residents that is cost-effective and delivered to the highest standards possible following best-value principles. 
 

Council manages all kerbside rubbish, recycling and green waste collection within the Shire. Use the links below to find out what you can and can't put in your bins, transfer station opening times, and tips on recycling. Please note green waste collection is only available in Avoca and Beaufort townships.

Sorting waste properly makes a big impact. Recycling well and reducing waste in the first place helps keep valuable resources out of landfill.
