Avoca Recreation Reserve Flood Mitigation Investigation

Pyrenees Shire Council have recently appointed expert consultants Water Technology Pty Ltd to undertake the Avoca Recreation Reserve Flood Mitigation Investigation.

The purpose of this investigation is to build upon the recommendation in the Upper Avoca River Flood investigation to understand the potential risk and the different scenarios that may contribute to flooding at the reserve, and to identify mitigation options against future flooding.

This project will increase confidence that decisions and advice regarding flooding and future development are appropriate and equitable in terms of long-term community wellbeing.
