Have your say on the future of the Goldfields Recreation Reserve

The Pyrenees Shire Council is seeking public input into the development of a Master Plan for Goldfields Recreation Reserve in Beaufort. The plan will identify and clarify the opportunities, challenges and limitations at the Reserve, as well as provide direction to Council and user groups for its management and development for the next 10 years.

The Master Plan will take into consideration the larger precinct which includes not only the Reserve but also the adjoining Beaufort Lake, caravan park, Beaufort Primary School and the Beaufort Secondary School. The future growth of the schools and increasing population in both Beaufort and across the Shire will also be considered.

The Master Plan will align with Council’s vision for “Sustainable and welcoming places and natural environments that create inclusive, happy and healthy connected communities”.

We are seeking community input into the strategy and invite you to participate in this survey, which will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. We ask that you please submit your response by Monday 19 June.
