Nerring - Culvert Extension - Caramuir Road

The traditional owners of the Nerring area are the Wadawurrung  People.

The works included extending the existing pipe culvert, replacing the existing wing walls, road works, installation of guard railing and other associated works.

The works addressed the following:

• Improving safety for the community by preventing road collapse or damage due to culvert failure.
• Reducing the risk of over-floor flooding in catchment areas by ensuring adequate water drainage following weather events.
• Maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of the stormwater drainage system.

Benefits to the Community are:

• Enhance the safety and accessibility of the roads for traffic.
• Reduce the potential for property damage and environmental impacts caused by flooding.
• Support the area's economic growth and development by ensuring a reliable and efficient stormwater drainage system.
