Want bin day reminders? Real-time service alerts and collection updates? Not sure what goes in which bin?

Pyrenees Shire Council is making it easier than ever to access all your waste and recycling information in one place with its new Waste and Recycling app.

From Thursday 2 April, residents can download the LoopedIn Councils app via the App Store or Google Play and select Pyrenees Shire Council to get started.

The app offers a range of helpful features, including:

• Bin day reminders and service alerts

• Online waste collection calendars

• Issue reporting and feedback

• Waste and resource recovery facility information

• Recycling tips and resources

Pyrenees Shire Council Mayor Damian Ferrari said the app will provide convenient, on-the-go access to important waste and recycling information.

“It’s very easy to download and use and will be a valuable resource for all our residents,” Cr Ferrari said.

“We know our waste and recycling services are highly valued by our community and this is yet another way to make information on bin days, service updates and even where our waste and recycling end up much more accessible.”

Cr Ferrari said the app comes at no cost to ratepayers, with all expenses covered through internal Council savings.

“The app will complement—not replace—existing information channels. Residents can still access waste and recycling information via Council’s website at pyrenees.vic.gov.au, on its Facebook page, or through printed waste collection calendars.”

Printed calendars remain available from the Beaufort Council Office, the Beaufort Community Resource Centre and the Avoca

Information Centre.
