Artist background

Russell has lived in Moonambel since 2000, and his abstract work reflects his love of the harsh natural beauty of this valley.
His work has featured in many group exhibitions, and 15 solo exhibitions. His works are included in permanent collections such as the John & Sunday Reed Collection, National Bank Collection, and various private collections. 

Russell describes his abstraction work, "I intend no message but would prefer the colours and form to act direction upon the viewer's emotions and imagination."
