Pyrenees Shire Council has awarded nearly $107,000 in funding to 33 organisations through its 2025–2026 Community Funding Program.

Funding was provided across four categories: community programs, minor capital and equipment, tourism event sponsorship, and community event support.

Mayor Cr Damian Ferrari said the Community Funding Program recognises the valuable contribution community organisations and local businesses make to the municipality.

“There was a diverse range of project types spread across the municipality this year with a real focus on asset improvements,” Cr Ferrari said.

“We feel the projects that were funded address community needs and provide lasting benefits through infrastructure improvements and community-focused initiatives.”

The Community Funding Program supports local groups to deliver projects, events and services that strengthen community life in the Pyrenees.
