Community Funding Program applications now open

Applications for Pyrenees Shire Council’s annual Community Funding Program have now opened to support our strong commitment to local projects and activities.

Applications are open for six weeks, closing on 8 October at 2pm. Grants are available for:

  • Programs, Projects and Activities – up to $2000
  • Minor Capital Works – up to $7000
  • Equipment – up to $2000
  • Community Event Support – up to $2000
  • Tourism Event Sponsorship – up to $5000

Pyrenees Shire Council Mayor Tanya Kehoe said the Community Funding Program is vital to help make the municipality an inclusive, happy and healthy place to live and visit.

“The Community Funding Program is one of the most powerful ways we can support our people to build stronger communities that deliver improved social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for our residents and visitors,” Cr Kehoe said.

“This grants program is an important way for Council to partner with the community and help bring local solutions and innovative ideas to life.

“Whether it’s a new piece of equipment, an arts project, a climate change solution or a community event, these grants support connection, increase accessibility and inclusion for all community members.”

Support sessions will be held around the Shire to discuss ideas and provide support in making applications.

If residents can’t make it to a support session, Community Development Team officers can visit on request or provide phone and online support.

These will be held:
