Line-up announced for Pyrenees Summer Session at Beaufort Lake
Published on 14 December 2022
Following the success of last summer’s Sunday by the Lake event, Pyrenees Shire Council is hosting a Summer Session at Beaufort Lake on 14 January 2023.
The lead act at the Beaufort Summer Session will be Kylie Auldist. Known as ‘the high priestess of Melbourne Soul’, Kylie is the leading lady of multiple ARIA award nominated band The Bamboos and a celebrated solo artist in her own right. At Beaufort she will be leading her five-piece band.
Also performing will be emerging local funk duo the Brother’s Bishop, as well as alternative singer-songwriter & guitarist Matt Katsis.
Family entertainment and food trucks will also grace the Lake Foreshore, making sure there’s something for everyone.
“We are just really wanting to give something joyful and positive to the community,” said Pyrenees Shire Council Manager of Planning & Development, Katie Gleisner. “This event will be a great chance for community and visitors to gather and celebrate the hidden gem that is Beaufort Lake.”
Stockyard Hill Windfarm has contributed financial support to assist Pyrenees Shire Council in hosting this event for the community.
“It’s just great that we can see this range of entertainment in our Shire,” said Ms Gleisner. “We are excited that through events like this we get to showcase performers from our region, while also bringing in artists who locals wouldn’t normally get to see in their backyard.”
Pyrenees Shire Council is currently finalising the line-up for a second Summer Session to be held at Avoca Riverfront on 25 February 2023.
* Update 16 December: We've had a slight line-up change with Matt Katsis replacing Justin Bernasconi, who was originally listed in an earlier version of this press release
