An arborist has recommended the removal of a peppercorn tree in Bakery Park, Amphitheatre.
Because the large tree is an important feature of the park, we sought professional advice from an arborist to assess its health and condition.
The arborist’s report advised the structural integrity of the tree is compromised due to wood decay, fungi and a large split between the truck branches and the ground.
We will be removing this tree soon for the community’s safety.
We will look at relocating or building additional tables in shade areas while new trees establish and grow.
