The final winner of the Pyrenees Shop Local competition has been selected. Congratulations Nic Robson from Lexton who received a $100 voucher from the Home Made Café in Avoca.
The Shop Local Competition allowed locals the chance to win a weekly $100 shopping voucher to the business of their choosing in the Pyrenees Shire by spending $10 at a business in the Pyrenees Shire.
After months of snap lockdowns, local shops have begun the slow process of reopening – and in some cases rebuilding – their businesses.
“Business owners have done an incredible job so far to welcome shoppers back safely, and I hope people across the region will continue to do their bit to help our businesses bounce back to protect jobs and support local communities.” Cr Ferrari said.
More than $11,000 worth of receipts were received over the 5-week period of the competition.
“Congratulations to the Pyrenees Shire Community for getting behind our businesses during this challenging time and choosing to shop local,” Cr Ferrari said.
“There are many shops in our towns and villages that offer a wide range of products, from food and drink to beauty and fashion, from arts and crafts to professional services,” he said.
“We urge our Pyrenees residents to continue to shop local in an effort to revive the businesses in our region.”
