Update March 2026
Work has been completed at the Beaufort Lake Caravan Park to replace the sewer servicing the eastern ensuites. Two ensuites will be demolished to allow for serviced caravan sites, and the southern ensuite will be refurbished to make a family friendly bathroom. Septic tank removal has been completed. Demolition is occurring and work will then proceed on upgrading one ensuite.
Update April 2025
The Beaufort Lake Caravan Park’s $1 million phase one redevelopment has nearly been completed with the arrival of three new accommodation facilities.
An all-abilities access cabin has arrived, followed by a duplex containing two, two-bedroom units. These cabins are in addition to the four studio apartments which arrived in March.
Civil work around the cabins is now being completed, with the studio apartments already being rented out. The redevelopment also included power, wastewater, plumbing, road and drainage upgrades.
The works were funded from a $500,000 Victorian Government Regional Infrastructure Fund grant and $500,000 from Pyrenees Shire Council.
A Beaufort Lake Caravan Park operational review in 2020 led to a $3.8 million redevelopment masterplan, of which these works are phase one. Phase two is contingent on further funding becoming available.
