Potential changes to Community CareSeptember 2022
Like many other councils in Victoria, the Pyrenees Shire Council is considering its future role in the delivery of home-based care services.
Council currently provides home-based care and support to seniors for everyday tasks and to maintain connectivity to their community through its Community Care Team. Commonwealth Government reforms (Support at Home Program) will significantly impact the ability of councils to continue delivering these services - many councils have already discontinued direct service delivery.
The Council is aiming to make a decision on whether it can continue directly providing these services in December 2022 and we are seeking your feedback to help us make that decision.
You can answer a series of questions via the survey online here or at any of Council's front counters in Beaufort and Avoca, or you can speak to us directly. We suggest you read the Frequently Asked Questions before starting to provide feedback.
Your comments and feedback will be provided to Councillors to help them make an informed decision in December.
