Critical Pyrenees road projects near completion

Major road projects undertaken by Pyrenees Shire Council at Crowlands-Eversley Road and at Snake Valley-Smythesdale Road are nearing completion.
Both sections of road have now been resurfaced and speed limits have returned to normal during the final stages of the projects.
The $500,000 Crowlands-Eversley Road upgrade is currently awaiting line marking, while guard rails are yet to be installed on the $720,000 upgrade to the Snake Valley-Smythesdale Road (between Hopes Lane and Burrumbeet-Hillcrest Road).
The important works represent an ongoing commitment from Council to upgrade local road networks.
“These sections of road were in a deteriorating state and we are pleased to deliver these much needed upgrades,” said Pyrenees Shire Mayor Cr Ron Eason. “Council is continually prioritizing the funds available to improve safety and modernize our road infrastructure.”
The upgrades are funded through the Commonwealth Government’s Roads to Recovery and Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Programs.
