The Beaufort Linear Masterplan is closer to completion after many different activities and meetings held with the community since the start of September.

“The Beaufort Linear Masterplan will help guide us in creating a loved and well used space for our community,” Pyrenees Shire Council Mayor Cr Ron Eason said.

After a series of catch ups with schools, service clubs, community groups, traditional custodians; visits to retailers; surveys; workshops; pop-up events; site walks; and face to face meetings, the feedback received from the community is being used to develop the draft masterplan.

“I am pleased to see people giving their feedback on the draft Masterplan. It’s an important document and we want to make sure that we’re incorporating our community’ needs and wishes now and into the future for this project,” Cr Eason said.

During the final stages of developing the masterplan, community members are invited to view and comment on the draft masterplan at the Beeripmo Centre Wednesday 1 November from 6pm.

Feedback from the community at this drop in event will be used to write the final version of the plan.

“With the final draft ready, it’s important for community members to take this opportunity to make sure their thoughts and ideas have been incorporated into the document and to make sure that they’re happy with the direction the plan is taking. We’re looking forward to delivering this plan and meeting the community’s needs with it,” Cr Eason said.

The masterplan will include concept plans for the future design of the project area. The draft plan can be viewed between 6pm and 7.30pm on the night. Council will be providing light refreshments for community members. All are welcome and there is no need to book.
