Shop in the Pyrenees and win
Published on 16 August 2021
Pyrenees Shire Council is launching a rewards promotion to encourage residents to shop locally.
The ‘Shop and Win’ promotion will run for five weeks starting Monday August 23rd until Sunday September 26th.
Residents simply need to spend $10 in a Pyrenees business to be in the draw for a $100 voucher.
Entering the competition is easy:
- Write your name, phone number and postcode on the back of your receipts
- Place receipts in a drop box in the nominated locations.
- Enter as many times as you like.
There will be five $100 vouchers to a Pyrenees business of the winner’s choosing.
Mayor Damian Ferrari said the decision to shop local goes a long way.
“Not only are you choosing to support the family who owns the store, you are also supporting the young person behind the counter, hard-working farmers and community groups who rely on local businesses for support,” Cr Ferrari said.
“If COVID-19 and constant lockdowns have taught us anything, it is the importance of shopping local and supporting one another,” he said.
Each Monday, a new winner will be drawn and announced on Council’s Facebook page. The winner will also be contacted by phone.
Take your receipts to the drop boxes in the following locations:
Beaufort Community Resource Centre
Avoca Information Centre
Lexton Co-operative Store
Waubra General Store
Snake Valley Post Office
