CareFlight Trauma Care Workshops

CareFlight is running two Trauma Care workshops in the Pyrenees on Saturday 15 July and Sunday 16 July.

CareFlight Community Education brings highly qualified emergency response specialists - doctors, nurses and paramedics to all areas across Australia to teach participants how to manage a trauma patient should they be first on scene at an accident. It is a hands-on Trauma Care Workshop that provides practical training on pre-hospital trauma management.

This 8-hour training program requires no previous experience and is FREE to all attendees who are prepared to play a vital role as a first responder in their community. The workshop aims on building skills, knowledge, confidence and resilience in the community.

Topics covered:

• Patient assessment
• Airway obstructions and management
• Catastrophic haemorrhage control
• Severe burns management
• Spinal injuries and mass casualty situations
