Economic Development and Investment Attraction Strategy

Warrenmang_7968.jpg

Pyrenees Shire Council invites residents, businesses, and community organisations to help shape the future of our local economy by contributing to the development of a new Economic Development and Investment Attraction Strategy.

The strategy will set clear priorities to strengthen the Shire's economy, attract new investment, and support business growth over the next five years. It focuses on creating jobs, improving infrastructure, encouraging innovation, and building on the Pyrenees' strengths in agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and renewable energy.

Community Sessions

Join Council and the project consultants at a community session to share your ideas for economic growth, investment attraction, and liveability across the Shire.

Each session includes a brief overview of the project and informal discussions about local opportunities and priorities.

What is a Drop-In Session?

These sessions offer local residents a chance to “drop in” at any time during the scheduled period to discuss their feedback with the consultants. Usually, drop-in participants stay for a brief period (e.g., 10 minutes).

What is an Open Meeting?

These meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Participants share their responses to specific questions, and the consultants record the meeting outcomes. The meeting follows a structured agenda and lasts for 90 minutes.
