The traditional owners of the Beaufort area are the Wadawurrung People.
26 Burke Street, Beaufort subdivision consists of land and construction of eight houses, subject to a wide range of conditions including landscaping, street tree provision, vehicle access, and payment of open space contributions.
The project is part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, which provides new housing and accommodation for rural towns where key industry workers and their families are struggling to find places to live.
The fund supports employers to attract and retain workers to help stimulate economic growth and support the regions to thrive.
