Beaufort is on Wathaurung and Eastern Maar Country
The project involves the construction of a fully enclosed 3 wicket cricket practice net facility and storage shed at the Goldfields Recreation Reserve (GRR), Beaufort.
This project will address the long standing issue of inadequate training nets replacing the existing facilities which were built before 1970.
The nets will significantly enhance cricket practice and match warm up by providing fit for purpose facilities in Beaufort which can be used by both the club, the Beaufort Primary School and Secondary College and visiting teams from Ballarat, Maryborough and surrounding regions. Importantly it will address significant safety concerns with the current nets and will facilitate the return of senior players to GRR for training.
