16 Days of Activism - Rachael Brown
Pyrenees Shire Council proudly presents Rachael Brown, award-winning journalist at the Beaufort Community Resource Centre. This event is part of Council's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
Rachael Brown is a well known, award-winning journalist who will address residents of the Pyrenees Shire about her work in the area of violence against women. Rachael is the investigator, creator and host of ABC’s first true crime podcast Trace.
The first season of Trace which reviewed the cold case murder of Maria James won the 2017 Walkley Award for Innovation and sparked a fresh coronial inquest into the murder.
The second season of Trace titled The Informer tells the story of Melbourne Barrister Nicola Gobbo and won a 2020 Walkley Award.
