Overview

Pyrenees Shire Council is home to two resource centres; one in Avoca and the other in Beaufort. These resource centres are home to Pyrenees Libraries, information for tourists, free wi-fi, conference room hire and computer access.

Beaufort Library and Avoca Libraries are part of the Central Highlands Library network. Pyrenees Libraries also services towns in our region through its mobile library.

Your library membership gives you access to a range of services and eResources. Library membership is free. You can join by calling into either Resource Centre or join online at centralhighlandslibraries.org.au

Lexton's Rural Transaction Centre offers free Wi-Fi and a public access computer, while Landsborough Resource Centre has three public access computers and free Wi-Fi.

Council also provides a Mobile Library Service that travels throughout the Shire. Visit our mobile library page to check when the library van is next in your area.

Keep up to date with library news and events by following our Pyrenees Library Facebook page.

Pyrenees Libraries

Pyrenees Libraries are part of the Central Highlands Libraries group, which contains a very large catalogue of books, magazines, DVDs and audio books. Membership of the library is free, and your membership allows access to all of the Central Highlands Libraries across the region.

Each library has a self-serve station for you to check out your own books, or you can take up the help of one of our friendly staff members who can issue your resources.

Feel free to order items from the catalogue and they'll be delivered to your library of choice. Access the catalogue via the Central Highlands Libraries page.
