Preparation of Proposed Budget 2025/26

Pyrenees Shire Council has prepared the following documents:

• Draft Budget 2025/26
• Draft 10-year Financial Plan ending 2035
• Draft Revenue and Rating Plan
• Proposed Council Plan 2025-2029
• Proposed Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan
• Community Vision 2021-2031

INFORMATION:
At a Council Meeting to be held at the Beaufort Shire Office, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort, commencing at 6.00 pm, on Monday 23^rd June 2025 the Pyrenees Shire Council will formally consider:

1. Adoption of the proposed Budget 2025/26
2. Declaration of Rates and Charges for the period 1^st July 2025 to 30^th June 2026
3. Adoption of the 10 year Financial Plan ending 2035
4. Adoption of the revised Revenue and Rating Plan
5. Adoption of the Council Plan 2025-2029
6. Adoption of the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan
7. Re-Adoption of the reviewed Community Vision 2021-2031

DOCUMENT INSPECTION:
Copies of the Proposed Budget 2025/26, Draft 10-year Financial Plan ending 20235 and Draft Revenue and Rating Plan are available on this page. 

Documents can also be viewed at the Beaufort Shire Offices, Beaufort Community Resource Centre & Library, and Avoca Visitor Information Centre.  However, residents may request a copy of these documents directly from the shire office by calling 1300 797 363 or emailing pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

Documents will be available for public inspection from Thursday 15^th May 2025 for 28 days. 

SUBMISSIONS:
Pursuant to Sections 94 and 96 of the Local Government Act 2020 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (1989 Act) any person has a right to make a written submission on any proposal contained in the proposed Budget 2025/26, 10 year Financial Plan and the Revenue and Rating Plan.

Submissions can be made via the link on this page. 

Submissions must be received by Council before 5.00pm on Wednesday 11^th June 2025.

Alternatively, submissions may be posted to Chief Executive Officer, Pyrenees Shire, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort VIC 3373 or provided via email to pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

Any person who wishes to be heard in support of a submission received by Council should indicate in the written submission that he or she wishes to be heard. Any person requesting that he or she be heard in support of a submission is entitled to appear before a meeting of the Council either personally or by a person acting on their behalf at a Council meeting scheduled for Monday 16 June 2025 in Beaufort.
