The foreshore of Lake Beaufort hasn’t been improved for many years, and these improvements are designed to reinvigorate the useability, look and feel of the lake for locals and visitor alike. The improvements include new plantings and earthworks, new designated paths, new parking spaces (including a disabled parking space), picnic areas and a number of new play areas for children. Once these improvements have been finished, the foreshore will be a far more attractive space, particularly once the plantings are more established.
While the project is in progress the area will be more dusty than normal, but hopefully this will settle down quickly.
This project was funded as part of a $2 million grant from the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme.
