Events

If you are planning an event in Pyrenees Shire, our Events Officer is here to help. With the aim of encouraging and promoting local events and festivals, the Events Officer helps guide groups through the registration and compliance process. Council encourages groups and committees to contact the Events Officer before planning starts so they can obtain important information and gain a better understanding of what is needed to run a successful event.

We recommend that you complete the Event Application Form (download link below) before making contact as this is the starting point for all event registrations and listings on the Shire's websites. The Events Officer can also provide you with our guide to running an event in Pyrenees Shire - EVENTsense. Get in touch with the Events Officer for a copy.

Free publicity and marketing for your event

You can get free publicity and marketing for your event by completing the Event Application Form, and providing a high-resolution photo and/or your event flyer, to the Events Officer for publication in our online event calendars. The Events Officer manages three online calendars - on this website (click here), on our tourism website (click here) and on the EVENTful Pyrenees Facebook page (click here). We also provide regular events bulletins to tourists and local businesses. As they say in the classics, any publicity is good publicity, so send in your event details today!
