Music, food, family entertainment and loads of fun will be on the agenda for the Summer Session at Beaufort Lake this Saturday 14 January.

A stellar line-up of performers including the ‘high priestess of Melbourne Soul’, Kylie Auldist, funk duo the Brother’s Bishop, accomplished alternative songwriter and guitarist Matt Katsis, and the hugely talented deborahN will take to the stage on the lake foreshore from 3pm to 7pm.

Along with scrumptious food available from Kittelty's and Flying Chillies, and BBQ fare prepared by the Beaufort Apex Club, young and old can also be entertained by Small Worlds and Little Creatures with Rebecca Russell.

“We are excited to be able to showcase local and visiting artists in this fantastic location,” said Pyrenees Shire Council Manager of Planning & Development, Katie Gleisner. “These events are a great opportunity for the community to get together and celebrate, as well as bringing visitors to our beautiful region.”

The weather is expected to be hot, so remember to bring a hat and sunscreen, along with your picnic rug, chair and dancing shoes!

The show is free and no tickets are required.

The boat ramp at the lake will be closed from 2pm to 7pm on the day to minimise noise from motorised boats during the event.

Pyrenees Shire Council is hosting the Beaufort Summer Session with support from Stockyard Hill Wind Farm.

The line-up for a second Summer Session at the Avoca Riverfront on 25 February is currently being finalised.
