Pyrenees Shire Council received another $2,425 worth of receipts this week as part of the Shop Local and Win competition.

The competition allows locals the chance to win a weekly $100 shopping voucher to the business of their choosing in the Pyrenees Shire by spending $10 at a local business.

Council is aware of nearly $10,000 being spent across the Shire across the first four weeks of the competition.

“It’s great to see locals supporting locals where and when they can,” Mayor Damian Ferrari said.

“Congratulations to this week’s winner, Jude Poyser of Beaufort,” he said.

Jude has chosen a $100 voucher to the Beaufort IGA as her prize.

Locals still have one more week to enter the competition to go in the draw to win a $100 shopping voucher with the last winner to be randomly selected on Monday 27th September.

Shoppers simply need to submit their receipts, with name, phone number and postcode written on the back, to any of the locations listed below.

  • Avoca Information and Community Centre
  • Beaufort Community Resource Centre
  • Lexton Community Store
  • Waubra General Store
  • Snake Valley Post Office

“We are proud of the small part we play in our local region, and encourage locals to explore everything the region has to offer and to shop at the many fabulous businesses we have in the Pyrenees,” Cr Ferrari said.
