Following the construction of the new skate park at Snake Valley’s Linear Park, Council has also built nine formal car parks next to the skate park, along with a crossing point.

The new car parking allow parents to supervise their children without having to park on the nature strip.

A post-and-rail fence will also be built around the skate park to protect it from damage. The area around the skate park will be seeded in the coming weeks to create a nice green area.

While the skate park was funded by the Victorian State Government through a Sport and Recreation Victoria grant, the funding for the car park, crossing point and fencing has come from the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme.
