Join us for the BIG Summer Read

The BIG Summer Read will run during the summer holidays until the end of January 2022.  Registrations are now open. Log your reading over summer to win some fabulous prizes!

To get started, make sure that you:

  • Are a member of Pyrenees Libraries and can borrow books.  If you are not a registered library user, you can register online through the Central Highlands Libraries website at https://www.centralhighlandslibraries.org.au.  You can also come into the Beaufort or Avoca libraries and register to become a member.  Library staff will help you with this process.

  • Download the Beanstack Tracker App and register to be in the running for some great prizes at https://plv.beanstack.org/reader365 .  By registering, you can earn digital badges, and enjoy some fun characters like the bookworm and the Grumpy triangle. Make sure that you select Pyrenees Libraries as your library to ensure that you are in the running for our prizes.   

  • Download the Big Summer Read Tracker booklet(PDF, 1MB)  and the Beci Orpin characters craft pages(PDF, 981KB) by clicking the links or visit the Beaufort or Avoca libraries for a copy of these.

  • start borrowing books from the library and use the Beanstack tracker app or your reading tracker book to record your reading and be in the running to win some great prizes

Prizes include:

  • a micro scooter (with LED wheels!)
  • a visit for four to Extreme Bounce in Ballarat for four, including extreme bounce socks (parents to supervise)
  • gift cards for Collins Booksellers.

The more activities completed and books read, the more chances you have to win a prize!
